Individual
Mental Health Counseling

Compassionate counseling for growth-oriented Latina women that centers your cultural heritage.

As an immigrant or the daughter of immigrants, you may have left parts of yourself behind each time you adapted to a new place, stepping away from your culture just to get by.

You try to honor your cultural identity while navigating the demands of work, family, friends, and community, but the push-and-pull of acculturation can leave you feeling torn between worlds.

You may experience a high level of stress, ruminating thoughts that keep you up at night, and anxiety that often shadows your days, making it hard to think, regulate, and settle.

At work or in your business, you try to lead with courage and pride as a woman of color, but sometimes the pressure to meet expectations and prove yourself can overwhelm your well-being, leaving parts of you behind in the shadows.

After reaching the goals you once dreamed of, you might still wonder where you come from, who you really are, where you belong, and what fulfillment means to you.

Even when you don't feel put together, you’re expected to be the rock for your family or at work. It’s hard to let your guard down, and sometimes you feel ashamed to show vulnerability, even though you carry so much for others.

At home, small moments with your family can bring up old patterns of anxiety, frustration, or conflict that cannot be fixed by a self-help book, class, retreat, or podcast.

Instead, you feel the need to look deeper—into yourself, your journey, your family's history, your upbringing, and both the blessings and wounds that shaped you.

It’s not your fault.

From the moment we’re born, our families, society, and culture start telling us who we need to be and what we should do just to fit in and get by. We learn that working harder is supposed to make everything better.

If you’re an immigrant or grew up in an immigrant family, you probably know what it’s like to work twice as hard just to feel like you belong. There’s so much pressure to succeed, and it can feel like you’re just trying to survive, not really live.

You’re definitely not alone. I’m an immigrant myself, and I started this practice to support Latina women. I get how stressful and overwhelming it can be to leave behind your culture and step into a new one—whether you’re first- or second-generation, carrying the family wounds.

Moving to a new country can feel exciting and hopeful, but there are a lot of cultural challenges that no one warns you about. All these things can take a toll on your mental health—making you feel anxious, stressed, sad, frustrated, or just plain exhausted.

Maybe you’ve become a professional and “made it” on paper, but it still feels like a struggle to be seen, valued, and understood.

Or maybe you’re a parent, trying to keep the traditions you grew up with while raising your kids in a totally different world. That’s a lot to juggle, especially with all the outside expectations.

You might be single, going through a career change, a breakup, or some other big life shift. These moments make you rethink who you are and how you move forward, all while trying to stay true to where you came from.

I care deeply about creating a welcoming space where Latina women and women of color can talk about what they’re going through, recognize their own strengths, and heal from tough transitions. I became a counselor to help people feel more confident, grounded, and hopeful. I’m here to support you as you start your next chapter.

I believe my offerings challenge the structures that hold women back and offer ways to build awareness and respond to oneself and the environment from a place of ownership and authenticity.

I hope that if you have felt pulled in different directions, longing to reconnect not only with your roots and your family, but with a version of yourself that feels whole, centered, and at peace—confident and free from constant anxious thoughts, that you reach out…

When we work together…

  • You’ll be seen and valued for your cultural identity and the strengths you bring—not just for the parts of you that struggle, but for everything you’ve accomplished and created.

  • We will work to help you feel more present oriented in your life, whether that means managing work stress with more ease or managing better your relationship with family.

  • You’ll gain more clarity to navigate life’s transitions, and learn coping skills to navigate the challenges that changes can bring to your life.

  • As you work toward a greater sense of peace, being centered and grounded, you’ll learn to manage your thoughts to decrease unnecessary drama and state of overwhelm in your life.

  • Above all, you’ll begin to embrace relationships and change as natural parts of life, trusting in your ability to adapt and grow, rather than letting stress and anxiety take over.)

I might be a good fit for you if…

  • This therapy is for you if you often feel overwhelmed by relationship challenges, anxious thoughts, or emotions that make it hard to move forward with ease.

  • It’s meant for those who are used to putting on a strong front for their family or at work, even when they feel anything but put together inside.

  • These services are especially for immigrants and daughters of immigrants who have had to set aside parts of themselves to fit in, and now find themselves questioning their identity, sense of belonging, and what it means to feel truly fulfilled. You want to heal family of origin attachment wounds from the inside.

  • This therapy is also for women of color who want to balance the demands of family, work, and culture and explore deeper healing beyond surface-level solutions.

I might not be a good fit for you if…

  • This therapy service is not for those looking for quick fixes or surface-level solutions without a willingness to explore deeper emotions and patterns. This type of work takes time as we honor the stages of trauma healing with compassion and grace.

  • This therapy is not for those seeking a purely clinical or impersonal experience without a focus on authentic connection and holistic well-being.

My Approach

Healing isn’t just about working on yourself—it’s also about understanding how your experiences, family, culture, and the world around you shape what you carry.

In our work together, we’ll look at your challenges not as personal shortcomings, but as natural responses to the pressures and stories in your life. We’ll explore how you can draw on your own resilience and wisdom to move forward, honor your culture, stay true to yourself, and find moments of joy along the way.

I believe real strength isn’t just about being tough or putting others first. It’s also about allowing yourself to be vulnerable, taking time to rest, and letting others support you—embracing both your individual journey and the collective cultural values that matter to you.

You’ll be seen for your whole self—not just your struggles, but also your strengths and accomplishments.

My approach is culturally centered and integrates mindfulness practices, so you can feel more present, fulfilled, and empowered in every part of your life.

As we work together, you’ll gain practical tools like calming techniques for anxiety, strategies for navigating transitions, and skills for building healthier relationships at home and at work.

We may not always be able to control what happens around us, but we can change how we think and therefore how we respond.

Through compassionate, heart-to-heart conversations and evidence-based strategies, you’ll learn to reshape your inner narrative, regulate your nervous system, and move forward with greater confidence and peace.

If you’re ready to start your journey toward healing and growth, I invite you to reach out. Let’s take these steps together.

I offer a free initial 20-minute consultation to all potential clients.  Therapy sessions last 55 minutes and cost $160.

For now, my counseling services are only available for VA residents. Soon, they will available in FL.

All sessions are virtual.
