Professional Coaching for Women of Color

Empowering women of color to lead with confidence, honoring your experience and unique strengths.

Are you a woman of color who was recently promoted without leadership experience and is struggling to make the transition?

Maybe you…

  • Have just been promoted to supervisor, manager, or an executive position

  • Are struggling to feel truly seen or represented in your organization’s leadership

  • Feel isolated or lack access to meaningful mentorships in your workplace

  • Hesitate to speak up, self-advocate, or set boundaries for fear of being misunderstood

  • Are searching for professional development that honors your unique strengths and cultural background

  • Want support in balancing cultural expectations, organizational demands, and personal well-being

If these experiences resonate, you’re not alone—and you no longer have to navigate these challenges by yourself.

I created this coaching offer to deliver culturally mindful, manager-level coaching that supports immigrants and daughter of immigrants BIPOC women leaders.

As a Latina nonprofit leader myself, I've personally benefitted from learning about the intricacies of supervision and managing people and teams, and now offer this approach to help clients gain confidence, prevent burnout, and thrive in demanding roles.

Bringing 34 years of organizational experience—including 18 in mental health counseling and nonprofit leadership—I offer a unique, culturally grounded approach to empowering women leaders.

My coaching stands out by using a systemic perspective to help clients navigate their environment, connecting micro and macro challenges with personal growth.

My qualities as a listener, learner, collaborator, and advocate support a leadership journey grounded in cultural understanding and resilience.

I enjoy working with immigrant or daughter of immigrant BIPOC women who feel stuck and want an empowering space to move forward. This includes young adults and professionals facing work-related challenges who need support in setting a course for their future as future executive leaders.

Recently, I’ve enjoyed supporting nonprofit leaders seeking to enhance their leadership skills for their communities.

Committed to social justice, I focus my coaching on helping BIPOC leaders build the skills they need to achieve their goals.

I offer coaching that addresses the unique challenges of BIPOC leaders, helping strengthen organizations and foster change.

Together, we navigate leadership challenges with cultural awareness and a shared goal of progress.

  • Increased confidence in your leadership and decision-making abilities

  • Practical strategies for navigating challenges such as workplace dynamics, bias, and burnout

  • Enhanced skills in communication, delegation, and conflict resolution

  • A proactive, future-focused approach to personal and professional growth

  • The ability to set healthy boundaries and maintain well-being while pursuing your goals

  • Culturally attuned support that honors your lived experiences and identity

  • Empowerment to break through self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and internalized barriers

  • Deeper resilience and adaptability in high-pressure or rapidly changing environments

  • A safe, compassionate space to explore your dreams and create an actionable plan for success

  • Support in developing a leadership style that is authentic, values-driven, and impactful

Ultimately, you’ll gain the skills, mindset, and confidence to lead with purpose, uplift your community, and create meaningful change—both for yourself and those you serve.

I am an experienced coach who brings decades of insight from mental health, business, and nonprofit leadership.

When you work with me, you can expect:

This offering is great for…

  • Immigrants or daughters of immigrants BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) women seeking empowerment, clarity, and support in their personal or professional lives.

  • Women leaders and aspiring leaders in nonprofit organizations who want to strengthen their leadership skills and make a greater impact in their communities.

  • Young adult students, early- and mid-career professionals, and seasoned professionals who feel stuck or face developmental challenges in their work lives and want to move forward with confidence.

  • BIPOC nonprofit leaders who are passionate about social justice, advocacy, and building stronger organizations, and who want culturally attuned, strengths-based coaching.

  • Women seeking a coach who is a good listener, creative, open-minded, and dedicated to serving others, especially those who value a systemic approach and cultural understanding.

  • Individuals experiencing workplace dynamics such as bias, burnout, or a lack of mentorship who want a supportive, proactive coaching partnership.

It might not be a good fit if…

  • You are not open to self-reflection, personal growth, or exploring new perspectives.

  • You prefer quick fixes over an ongoing process of development and learning.

  • You are seeking clinical mental health therapy rather than coaching focused on strengths and future goals.

  • You are unwilling to engage in honest conversations about identity, culture, or social justice.

  • You are looking for a coach to give you all the answers, rather than collaborating to discover solutions together.

  • You are not interested in developing leadership skills or enhancing your impact within your organization or community.

  • You are not part of, or do not wish to support BIPOC communities or women in leadership.

  • You are not ready to invest time and effort into your own growth and transformation.

My Approach

In coaching, we are taught to "Coach the person, not the problem."

I follow this by creating a welcoming space where BIPOC women can openly share their thoughts and feelings as they work toward their goals.

Using a strengths-based approach, I combine cognitive coaching, mindfulness, and somatic practices to help clients stay grounded and resilient in their careers, even during challenging times.

My approach is grounded in the belief that people can regulate their nervous systems through mindfulness and somatic coaching tools.

This regulated state enables clients to examine their thought processes with greater ease, align with their intuition, and create effective solutions, leading to growth, greater potential, and greater satisfaction.

The development of Emotional Intelligence is the foundation of Professional Coaching, and we will dedicate time to learning frameworks and skills that support your executive presence and performance. We will work together to navigate the particular challenges and opportunities that come with being a career woman and leader.

From my own experience, I know coaching can help you use your strengths and move past internalized oppression, impostor syndrome, and self-doubt.

Internalized oppression can develop when negative stereotypes or social biases affect how we see ourselves, sometimes lowering our confidence or making us hesitate to take new chances.

My coaching helps clients change limiting beliefs, recognize their strengths and achievements, and feel more empowered. By honoring your cultural roots and values, we will explore a broader idea of leadership that includes all parts of who you are.

For BIPOC women, this broader leadership means embracing and valuing unique perspectives, integrating cultural wisdom, and leading in ways that feel authentic and community-minded. It is about redefining leadership to encompass collaboration, empathy, and resilience, rather than traditional models of authority or assertiveness.

As a woman of color, you will get support to build self-awareness and self-compassion, helping you see your true abilities beyond any internalized negativity.

By setting meaningful goals and honoring every milestone, coaching helps you grow your agency and resilience.

My coaching practice aims to empower women of color to lead confidently, speak up for themselves, and be authentic while embracing a collaborative stance that compassionately supports people’s growth along the way.

My base hourly rate is $160.

Frequency and number of sessions will be determined based on our contract together. All client packages are custom to your needs.
